Lydie by Jordi Lafebre

Lydie by Jordi Lafebre follows the story of a charming little girl who makes her way into the hearts of everyone in a tiny community. The child’s mother delivered a stillborn. Two months later, she becomes convinced that her child has returned from heaven, and The neighbors don’t have the heart to tell her otherwise.

This was a very refreshing story in a graphic novel format. The artwork was very well done and the story was new and interesting. I love the concept, and it's all nice to be reminded that we don't HAVE to burst each others bubbles. The story is about a mother's love, a father's love, and the ability for a community to suspend disbelief and rally around one woman's broken heart. I has a beautiful, although expected, ending.
